Three Awesome Travel Accounts (and Why They Are So Cool)

Hey all! So, when I first decided I wanted to sell all my belongings and hit the road, I knew it sounded like a crazy idea…until I hit the internet!  I had no idea there was such a “movement” of other people doing the same thing.  I mean, I had always heard of retired couples getting an RV and traveling, but I had no idea that so many other people were doing this.  And it’s not just retired couples. It’s solo female travelers, couples in there 20’s-40’s,  working people, non working people…you name it! All types and all ages of people are doing this. And they are traveling in anything from tents to redesigned school buses, vans, and campers.

I have come across a ton of amazing people on all different channels such as YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, etc and I wanted to share a few with you guys.  I figured if you are following my journey, you might be interested in leaning more about theirs as well. So…here they are….

Living on a Venture @livinonaventure

These two women are awesome.  They currently live in Austin, Texas and are planning on hitting the road in a redesigned van.  They are doing all of the construction and remodeling themselves! They have remodeled most of the van and I believe are about to start their journey on the road. I love their IG because they have awesome pics and really cute videos. I cant wait to see what’s next for them once they hit the road! I’m looking forward to following their journey!

This is a young couple who started off living in their SUV and a tent.  They had a wedding in the mountains that cost about $14 total.  They are all about living simply and free. Here is their story from their site…

“Our story is a tale of adventure, change, & happiness. Today, you’ll find us exploring mountains, forests, & new towns while we navigate an exciting life. We basically live in our SUV & move from place to place on a whim. We made it all possible by living for these guiding principles: (1) absolute simplicity, (2) authenticity & love, (3) nature & (4) experiences above things. We all have a story to tell. We’ve embraced a life that often lacks a plan. Some people get scared of this idea. We were once a little afraid, too. But then we began dipping our toes into the unknown and magical journey unfolded before us.”

They share everything they do (and have done) on their YouTube channel so it’s great for tips and tricks on how to make it while on the road!

Adam and Lindsey are a young couple that have been traveling for three years and to over 17 countries.   They are currently traveling in a camper but started in their Honda Accord and a tent.  The are so super nice and have emailed with me back and forth a bit sharing tips and giving me encouragement. They have two books that they have written. One is about how to buy a camper van in New Zealand that they both wrote and another is a children’s book that Lindsey wrote. They are both available on their site.

These are just a few of the many amazing people I have found while planning my own journey. There are so many more that I can’t list them all at one time but will be posting more as I go along; so don’t forget to subscribe to my blog so you don’t miss the posts. 🙂

Also, make sure to share this this post with anyone you think might like to learn more about this type of journey! 🙂

Have an awesome day!
